SUPPORT LOCAL TALENTS MULTICHOICE KENYA URGES

 MultiChoice Kenya a leading entertainment and pay TV provider in the country has called on more Kenyans to support and grow local content in the country during this year’s media content showcase which took place at a Nairobi hotel.



Speaking at the event Nzola Miranda Managing Director, MultiChoice Kenya said as Kenya’s most loved storyteller they are dedicated to spotlighting the creativity and talent inherent in the country l.Nzola highlighted the shifting trend of  viewers preferences towards locally produced content which have won awards and the hearts of kenyans.The company will be launching five new shows in Kenya all local in the coming months.



 

Some of the top local shows that have been recognized in the last few weeks include ‘Kam U Stay’ for the Best TV comedy, Zari, for the Best TV Drama and “The Death of a Kenyan Heiress” episode of ‘The Last Door’ show by veteran journalist John Allan Namu that won in the Best Documentary Feature category. 





Multichoice  substantive investments in local content  is over 500 hours annually.The media content showcase is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and catalyse the evolution of  media landscape and ensuring that Kenyan voices are heard.




Celebrities  that attended the event include Zari actresses Sarah Hassan and Brenda Hassan and Kam U Stay producer Damaris Irungu.
