MultiChoice, Africa’s leading entertainment company, will from the 4th -6th September 2023 air the Africa Climate Summit.
The conference which is co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and the African Union Commission, with President William Ruto as the Chairperson of the Summit will bring together a high-level delegation from Africa and other parts of the globe including policy makers, climate experts, civil society organizations, climate actors to find practical solutions to mitigate climate effects.
The three-day conference will be televised live on DStv Channel 199 (Kenya) and GOtv Channels 59 (Kenya), 159 (Uganda) and 359 (Ghana) from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The conference will also be available on DStv Stream.
Environment and Climate change are areas that form an integral part of MultiChoice’s business ecosystem through the content it airs as well as its long-standing relationship with the global climate initiative, The Earthshot Prize.

According to the State of Africa Climate 2019 report - increasing temperatures, sea levels, changing precipitation patterns and more extreme weather are threatening human health and safety, food and water security and socio-economic development in Africa.
Climate change is of global interest and through this engagement, MultiChoice intends to inform and educate their viewers on the green growth agenda for Africa in with Sustainable Development Goal 13 on Climate Change.
